New York City Cyclists Organize Ride to Support Their Own, Mark Petimezas

Last week, the New York City cycling community came together in a truly inspiring way to raise over $60,000 to help injured cyclist Mark Petimezas recover. On Saturday, October 26th, while riding North on 9W on a beautiful fall morning, Mark crashed badly when his wheel got tangled with another rider’s. Mark went down hard and landed on his head, severely damaging his spinal cord and fracturing several bones. Mark lost use of his limbs immediately after this accident.

As anyone who has ridden or raced with Mark knows, he is incredibly friendly, generous, and always eager to help others. He needs our support to get through the very challenging months ahead. With the generous support from Tailwind Endurance, you can support Mark and participate in fun evening or training! Here are the details:

Event: Mark Petimezas Recovery Indoor Ride p/b Tailwind Endurance & Finish Line PT
Date: November 19th
Ride Description: A challenging, 12-15 mile rolling time trial that suits all types of riders, and will assist in establishing a great baseline measurement for off season training!
Cost: $100/1hr class, 100% of proceeds will go to Mark and his family

- Bike & Shoes
- Towel: One is provided, but if you’re a heavy sweater, bring another. There is one shower!
- Water Bottle: There is a water cooler for you to fill up!
- Don’t forget to reply to the confirmation email from Tailwind Endurance with your personal information for the computrainer!

And, if you are riding to the studio, PLEASE WEAR YOUR HELMET!

*After your time trial enjoy complimentary adult beverages at our open bar just steps behind your computrainer!
**Upon completion of registration, rider will receive an email with a request for rider info (age, weight, etc) so each computrainer can be properly calibrated
